Our story is about the success of putting people first

2009

Mark and Andy started spriteCloud in 2009 with a vision to bring software testing to a market that didn’t really understand how to do it for shorter, high-intensity projects. There was a gap between what a lot of digital agencies and e-commerce companies needed as a software testing service and what was being offered by the consultancy companies at the time.

By talking with staff who did time-boxed project work as their daily activity, we uncovered a huge opportunity, which we successfully built into our consultancy business spriteCloud.

Calliope.pro
2015

Being part of project teams and continually speaking with the people involved in them gave us a huge insight into the need for data transparency. This led us to create our own software solution for test reporting. Calliope.pro was built on the necessity for development teams and team managers to quickly pull together all their work activities and results into one single source of truth.

CPro
2022

This journey into the relationship between people and data led us to understand the importance of security in that relationship. In the 21st century, with technology ever-present and always on, we see our greatest value to the world is in helping people to understand how to be more digitally secure.

We also started to see that Calliope.pro was providing more value for cybersecurity teams and decided to combine Calliope Pro and our cybersecurity expertise into one company, CPro. Calliope.pro still exists as a dashboard behind the scenes, but CPro’s focus is on building its cybersecurity services.

Business Team

Justin Leavenworth

Justin is an expert in digital resilience, with a focus in dynamic customer experience design and supply chain transparency. He has worked in chaotic, fast-changing sectors where he created the conditions for a shared sense of security, building antifragility within organizations and across ecosystems. In 2021, he joined spriteCloud as Group CEO, with a vision to use cyber risk management as a vehicle for digital resilience building in businesses facing an ever more chaotic and uncertain landscape.

Andy McDowell

Andy has 30+ years of experience in the software industry. He has a strong line of work experience in commercial software testing and most of the roles within that domain. He is a Founder at spriteCloud and has been involved in running customer software testing projects, heading up the software product company, and now taking a lead role in CPro business pre-sales.

Mark Barzilay

Mark has been in IT and software testing for his entire career after graduating with honours from TU Delft, he co-founded spriteCloud, Calliope Pro and CPro. He is passionate about software testing and the human side of cybersecurity. His current role is to make sure clients are delighted with our service delivery.

Andrei has been active in cybersecurity and compliance consultancy for 20 years, helping customers in their journeys to achieve ISO 27K, NIS, GDPR, and PCI-DSS. He has a niche expertise in the cybersecurity of 5G networks and worked on multiple projects under ENISA.

Mihai

Mihai has 15 years of experience as a cybersecurity consultant that progressed from incident response and penetration testing roles towards the CISO and cybersecurity auditor type of roles. He mixes cybersecurity governance and strategy with a hands-on approach while still running vulnerability assessments and penetration testing projects. Through his experience working in tech companies, payment processors, and banks, he gathered enterprise and SMB perspectives on cybersecurity.
